Tonight while I was giving the girls a bath I asked Reagan who her best friend was. Her response was, "Dee Dee is my bestest friend in the whole world!" Then I asked Dee Dee who her best friend was. Surprisingly, her answer was the same, "Reagan, Reagan, Reagan!" It made me smile to know how much they really do love each other! I can only hope that this will last throughout their lives. I am not naive, I know that they will have their arguments in the future just like they do now, and I anticipate the teenage years will be especially difficult. But, I hope they will always come back to each other and that they truly will be best friends. Maybe it is just because the holidays are coming up, or maybe it is just because I am particularly fond of "White Christmas", but I started singing them this song, and of course Reagan started singing along. Any one else care to sing along?

I don't think there are sweeter words to a Mama's ears. How beautiful when our siblings realize that we truly are gifts to each other.
ReplyDeleteI ADORE my baby sister, although I admit it wasn't always that way.
Hugs,

My sister and I are very best friends. I would be so lost without her. She lives less than a mile from me, and we work together every day. She never had any children, so my kids are her kids and I have to admit, its wonderful having that extra sounding board in raising these kids.
ReplyDeleteI always wanted a sister and instead had a mean ole brother. I love the clip - just a singing now!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO SWEET!! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThat is really sweet. I never had a sister...but am very close to my brother. It's nice to have a sibling to call "friend"!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this post! White Christmas is sacred at our house! I have two brothers and a sister and we performed "Sisters" as a surprise for my mom two years ago at a party with a few hundred people there! It was hilarious! Maybe I should post our video one day!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet...my girls love each other that way too. What a blessing!
Happy Thanksgiving!
This is precious. When I found out I was prego so soon after the first I thought it would be so neat to have them be the same sex. Oh well, love my boy, God had other plans.
